Nicholas Butterworth, Founder, President & CEO

Nicholas is Diversion Media's Founder, President & CEO. He was formerly President and CEO of The MTVi Group, a joint venture of Viacom and Liberty Media, where he managed an international network of 18 music-related websites, including mtv.com, VH1.com, sonicnet.com, and all of MTV's international sites.

Prior to MTVi, he was President & CEO of SonicNet, Inc., a leading independent music site which he joined in 1994. Prior to SonicNet, Nicholas was Executive Director of Rock the Vote. He also served two terms as President of the Digital Media Association (DiMA).
Nicholas has garnered industry awards including two Webby awards, three Yahoo! Internet Life Music Awards, and the ASCAP Deems Taylor Award for music journalism.

A graduate of Brown University, Nicholas began his entertainment career offline, as a cast member of the WGBH show "Zoom" in 1976-77.

Tatum Lade, Co-Founder & CTO

Tatum was formerly the Vice President of Technology at iFilm, one of the largest "viral video" sites on the internet, which was acquired by Viacom in 2005. At iFilm, he led the development of a robust and sophisticated platform for video delivery to PCs, mobile devices, and set-top boxes, delivering in excess of 70 million video streams per month at peak.

Tatum served as the executive in charge of development through several iterations of the iFilm platform, focusing on performance and scalability, as well as on application and product design.
